How to Hide Last Seen Timestam on Telegram Messenger

Sometimes it is really awkward and problematic when you don’t want to show that you have check someone’s message or not. Or at times we just read them and don’t bother to reply? Do people hate you for reading their messages but not replying to them? Do you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend who keeps on stalking. The time stamp in Telegram Messenge tells whether the user is Online or was Last Seen at a particular date and time. Here’s how you can get rid of it by simply hiding the time you were last seen on Telegram Messenger.



Manually Way:

1. Disable your phone’s WiFi or data network.
2. Open WhatsApp and read messages if any. Send messages if you want to too.
3. Close WhatsApp. It won't show the seen blue indicator.
4. Again enable WiFi or data network.

The messages will be sent as soon as your phone connect’s to the internet without anybody coming to know the last time you accessed WhatsApp! The last seen they’ll see will be the time you last opened WhatsApp with your internet connection on


Through the App
Telegram now added an option to disable the seen indicator. Remember that you won‘t see Last Seen timestamps for people with whom you don’t share your own. You will, however, see an approximate last seen value. This keeps stalkers away but makes it possible to understand whether a person is reachable over Telegram. There are four possible approximate values:

Last seen recently — covers anything between 1 second and 2-3 days
Last seen within a week — between 2-3 and seven days
Last seen within a month — between 6-7 days and a month
Last seen long time ago — more than a month (this is also always shown to blocked users)

How to Hide Last Seen on Telegram Messenger

1. Launch Telegram from your Phone
2.Go to Settings.
3. Then to Privacy and Security
4. Under Privacy settings, "Select Last Seen"
5.Chose the option "Everybody, Nobody, My Contacts for a particular contact.
6. Done!


The last seen rules apply to your online status as well. People can only see you online if you're sharing your last seen status with them. There is one exception to this: people will be able to see you online for a brief period when you send them a message in a one-on-one chat or in a group where you both are members.

Of course, the absence of a Last Seen timestamp makes it difficult to know whether the person you're about to contact is a regular user of Telegram and will be able to read your message. That is why even if the exact Last Seen time is hidden, you will still see an approximate value, like “last seen recently” (i.e. from one minute ago to about 3 days) or “last seen within a month”. This keeps stalkers away, but makes it possible to understand whether a person is reachable over Telegram.
